Business Music
A better alternative
to Spotify for business.
A personal Spotify subscription is intended for private use only - not for commercial venues. And even business streaming services are algorithmic, shuffle-based and generic. They are not built for your brand. Custom DJ mixes are different: mixed for flow, built for your brief, and delivered as a complete sonic experience.
Built for your brand, not an algorithm
Every mix is curated specifically for your venue, your guests and your brand positioning.
Professionally mixed, no gaps or jarring jumps
Continuous flow, BPM-managed transitions and a coherent energy arc across the full session.
No algorithm, no surprises
The mix plays the same way every time. No random tracks that clash with your brand, no ads, no platform deciding what your guests hear.
No subscription required
Buy a single mix from €249 or set up an ongoing programme. No monthly fee for music you did not choose.
Exclusive to your venue
Your competitors cannot access your mix. It is made for you, not distributed to thousands of other businesses.

The legal reality
Playing Spotify in your business is not legal.
Spotify's Terms of Service are clear: a personal subscription is intended for private use only. Playing it in a commercial venue where customers can hear it falls outside those terms. Most countries also require a separate public performance licence for music played in a business - the rules and organisations vary by country, so check what applies in yours.
Every country has its own collecting societies and rules. Either way, the music source - Spotify personal, a streaming service, or a custom mix - is a separate question from the venue registration. Both matter.

Frequently asked questions
Why not just use a business streaming service?
Business streaming services are a reasonable option for the basics. But the music is algorithmic and generic - the same library available to your competitors. Custom mixes give you a sound that is built specifically for your venue, not pulled from a shared catalogue.
Do I still need a public performance licence if I use your mixes?
Yes. Most countries require venues to register with local collecting societies regardless of the music source - a custom mix does not change that. What the mix replaces is the streaming service. The venue registrations are always your responsibility.
How long does a mix last before it feels repetitive?
A 60-minute mix can be looped for several weeks in a low-attention environment before guests notice. Most clients refresh every 4-8 weeks. With an ongoing programme I deliver new content monthly so it never feels stale.
Can I use the mix on multiple sites?
Single-mix purchases are intended for one venue. For multi-site usage, contact me to discuss a programme that covers your full estate.
What formats do you deliver?
Standard delivery is high-quality MP3 (320kbps) and WAV. Suitable for any playback system - laptop, NAS, in-room audio, DJ controller or streaming from a private link.
Is there a free alternative you recommend for very small budgets?
If budget is genuinely a constraint, a commercial music service like Soundtrack Your Brand is designed for business use and handles the music source side at a monthly fee. It will not sound as distinctive as a custom mix, but it is the right tool for that situation. I am happy to advise on options in a call.
